Japan Tourist Visa

The Japan Tourist Visa is intended for eligible foreign travelers visiting Japan for sightseeing and other permitted tourism activities. Under the current JAPAN eVISA system, eligible applicants can obtain a single-entry short-term tourist visa for stays of up to 90 days. However, travelers from countries covered by Japan's short-term visa-exemption arrangements do not need to apply for a tourist visa, provided they meet the relevant conditions. Applicants who need a visa but cannot use the eVisa system generally submit their application to the Japanese embassy, consulate, or authorized agency responsible for their residence. Travelers should prepare accurate passport, travel, and supporting information and verify the latest requirements before booking or beginning their trip.
